Here is your chance to describe your twinkle lights experience. I call that a moment when you see things so clearly that you know the right thing to do for the benefit of all involved. Or a moment when you express your desire for something and it appears.
Like magic, some might say. But if you are paying attention, those moments happen all the time. Everyone has them. They can be tiny pieces of your life or momentous events. I’ll start with one of my tiny twinkle lights stories and then I hope you will share yours.
THE COFFEE MAKER
When I was in my 40’s, I was also a single mother with three children. We were not desperate, but any extra paycheck went for their education and extra-curricular expenses. And then one day the coffee maker broke. While coffee makers don’t cost a lot of money, it was an expense I just didn’t want to incur. So I went without while I obsessed about the purchase of a new one.
Weeks later, while jogging around the neighborhood, I looked down on the curb of a house several blocks away and there sat a coffee maker. A sign on top said “Free, Take Me.” My first reaction was “No way, can’t be real. Who would give away a good coffee maker,” and I ran on. At home, I thought again and went back to pick it up. That coffee maker, although old and a dated model, continues to make great coffee today. I never met the owner of the house.
